ARES/SKYWARN Software

This software is designed to run on any computer that has DOS 3.3, Windows 3.x and Windows 9.x. It compiles text based data bases for the operator through a menu driven screen. This program will track all stations, their location, who's in service and who's not and resources. The program was written by Dave Rogers, KA9ZGH and is Freeware.

The program uses very little computer resources therefore it can be used on almost any computer with a 386 processor or better with minimal amounts of RAM. The two files that are used by the program are 39 Kb and 14 Kb respectively so they take up 53 Kb of disk space. The databases created by the program are typically less than 100 KB depending on the number of entries to the program. This program could be run from a floppy disk, but for faster access, I recommend that you place it on a hard drive, with a backup on a floppy disk.

I have found this program very useful in keeping track of ARES/ACS stations, Red Cross Shelters and other vital information needed during an emergency operation.

Below is a screen shot of the Main Menu Page from which all other applications are driven.
