Spotter Training Information
On Monday, May 17th, Mike Petrucelli from the National Weather Service
(NWS) office in Medford will present a summer weather spotter training class at the Medford Library Large Room from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The library is located at 205 South Central Avenue in downtown Medford.
A variety of topics will be covered including: an explanation of the summer storms affecting the area, weather safety tips, how to measure precipitation using a rain gage, and how and when a weather spotter reports to the NWS. There is no cost for this training. All attendees who need a rain gage will receive a free one.
