The Jefferson Noon Net was started on July 3, 1996 at 12:00 noon.

Jefferson Noon Net: (JNN) Daily at 1200L on 7232 kHz (alt 3987 kHz).   PARTICIPATING STATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED TO MONITOR AND/OR CALL ON 146.52 MHZ DURING THE NET TO RELAY CHECK-INS OR TRAFFIC.  All Licensed Operators are Welcome.  

The "Noon Net" provides a time for:

1 - The dissemination of bulletins and other information of interest to amateurs interested in emergency and public service communications;

2 - The promotion of good operating procedures, in a net structure, for hams who may not otherwise have the opportunity;

3 - The making of new friends.  Especially with operators who are interested in this aspect of amateur radio communications;

4 - And provides a network for traffic and other information (including access to the National Traffic System) for stations in at least 14 counties including Siskiyou, Shasta, Trinity, Del Norte, Tehama, Lassen, Modoc, Humbolt (California) and Jackson, Klamath, Lake, Josephine, Deschutes, and Curry (Oregon).
