TEN METERS - “THE FORGOTTEN EMCOMM BAND?”
I've been reading through a lot of old issues of QST lately, and have noticed that “back in the fifty’s” (before VHF repeaters were commonplace), 10M was a popular band for (local) EMCOMM work.  The short wavelength = short antennas, which are convenient for mobile/portable work.  When the MUV is below 28 MHz there is little problem with “skip” QRM or interfering with DX stations.

We are now moving into that part of the sun spot cycle where the average MUV will be lower.  I would like to hear from any of you that include 10M in your local EMCOMM plan.  I also would be interested in receiving comments about the viability of 10M for local EMCOMM.  SSB?
